Co-Founder, FeatureIT Ltd

The horizon for the business software market is an exciting one. With SaaS and PaaS opportunities for even the smallest of application development providers there is a new focus. Software features are becoming productivity commodities that are within the grasp of the Small to Medium Enterprise market.

As with any opportunity there is a need to make informed decisions.

The ‘golden thread’ in the decision is matching the business need to the software feature functionality – where two worlds collide (’the business world’ and the software world’).

This presentation will discuss using semantic knowledge bases to derive relationships between the two worlds that won’t exist within the traditional database mining techniques. With inferencing and pattern matching capabilities and knowledge bases that learn from experience, making decisions about the software needed for business will become more intuitive.
